Tennsco J1878A-N-W Deluxe Jumbo Wardrobe Cabinet sets the standard for quality, convenience, and performance for over 30 years. This cabinet uses heavy gauge steel throughout and 16 gauge steel for the door frame. This cabinet uses heavy gauge steel throughout and is ideal for all business or home environments.

J1878A-N-W is a heavy-duty deluxe cabinet that features a high-quality finish and is fabricated of high quality, cold-rolled carbon steel, free of scale or rust, and fully pickled. Partition shelves are formed with 22 gauge steel and have 1 1 / 8 ” flanges at the rear and end. They have a channel formation in front and are adjustable on 2” increments.

The J1878A-N-W jumbo cabinet features:

• Material: Jumbo Storage Cabinets, as well as all Tennsco Products, are fabricated of high quality, cold-rolled carbon steel, free of scale or rust,and fully pickled. Exposed edges, corners, and surface areas are free of sharp edges and all workmanship is of the highest quality as measured by the industry.
• Finish: All steel components shall be thoroughly cleaned and phosphatized for rust resistance in a five-stage pre-treatment process. A high grade of polyester/epoxy powder paint is to be applied electrostatically with a gloss reading of between 55 and 65. The finish shall have a saltspray rating of 250 hours or more.
• Sides: Side are constructed of 20 gauge steel, flanged at the top, bottom, and rear with a channel formation in front.
• Backs: The backs are constructed of two flat pieces with a shelf locking strip welded on.
• Sill: The sill is an 18 gauge steel channel formation with a return flange for a door strike and is flanged at the ends.
• Doors: Doors are formed of 20 gauge steel and are flanged at the top, bottom, and rear with a channel formation at edges. The door strike on the left-hand door is hemmed for a smooth edge and reinforced with a full-length stiffener.
• Tops: The top is 20 gauge steel, formed into a “C” channel formation having an offset for a continuous door strike. The top is slotted to accept the lock bar from the three-point locking system. Studs are pre-welded to the underside of the KD top for assembly. Studs are not used on the welded cabinets. The top surface is free of holes and visible attachment hardware.
• Locking Mechanism: The cabinet is equipped with a secure three-point locking system. The system consists of a locking cam that secures the two doors together with two 5 / 8 ” x 1 / 8 ” locking bars that lock the right door securely into the header and sill. The left door is held by the right door. The lock mechanism is operated by turning the right handle and the two lock bars will operate smoothly using nylon silencers.
• Hinges: Hinges are semi-concealed, five knuckle, tight pin, 16 gauge full loop hinges that are resistance welded to frames and riveted to the door. There are four hinges per door.
• Bolts & Nuts: For KD cabinets only: bolts and nuts consist of a sealed plastic bag with #8-32 x 3 / 8 ” slotless headed bolts with hex nuts. All bolts have flush heads.
• Shelf: Shelves are constructed of 24 gauge steel with full welded “BOX” formation in front and back of the shelf and have formed channels on both ends. All corners are fully lapped and welded at two points in each corner. The “BOX” formation is welded on a minimum of 3” centers, the entire length of the box. All shelves have a profile height of 1 5 / 16 ”. Shelf strips are 22 gauge steel. Full-width shelf capacity is 400 lbs., evenly distributed.
• Handles: The cabinet has two brushed chrome handles. The right handle has a built-in lock and locks both doors, making the opening and closing of dual swing outdoors easy. The left dummy handle provides a pull for the door while giving an attractive appearance to the cabinet. The locks are core removable and master keyed. Locks can be keyed to the same key as other Tennsco products.
• Super Heavy-Duty Construction: 20-gauge doors and sides, 22-gauge backs along with an 18 gauge sill make these units sturdy enough to handle all your requirements.
• Increased Storage Capacity: 48" width provides 33% more storage
• Box-Formed Shelves: Our specially engineered shelves are spot welded in corners and along the length of the box form, enabling them to support up to 400 lbs. per shelf.
• Adjustable Levelers: Two adjustable levelers on front corners compensate for uneven floors.
• Double Handles Two brushed chrome handles. The right, handle uses three-point keyed locking to secure both doors.
• Leaf Hinges: Cabinets use four-leaf hinges on each 78" high cabinet door and two on each 42" and 30" high door.
• Shelves adjust in 2" increments without tools. Integrated shelf support tabs secure shelves tightly to the cabinet without clips or added parts.
